We are the clay!

Silica is an element that the body neds. Silica and calcium work in tandem to keep the body working and healing. Over time if we don't replinish the silica, the doctors tell us we need more calcium to make our bones, muscle, tendons to work property. Now if silica and calcium work in tandem then why do we need silica if we are getting calcium in our diet. That is because our bodies were never made to have mostly calcium. Calcium is the reason we age. Calcium gives us wrinkles, dull skin, brittle nails, and thinning hair. Have you ever heard of bones, organs, tissue, etc, "calcifying?" I thought it meant the organs became "harden" like calcium, not because of calcium.

I came by the information when a friend asked me what would help her nails become stronger. I currently take Biotin for that because my Oncology GN that took my ovary tumor out when I started going through menopause after surgery. It did wonders. So I told my friend that Biotin would be good but I would research it for her and let her know. While doing my research I came apon a really good article about how silica plays a very important role in the body.

" Silica is absolutely essential to bone growth and for the development of the body. When you are young, your body has abundant levels of silica which is why children normally have beautiful silky hair, soft skin and perfect nails. We are born with large amounts of silica and low amounts of calcium and as we age, we lose silica and our bodies deposit calcium in our glands which leads to what is termed “calcification” of our tissues and the eventual loss of gland functions. " (I found this information at the website The URL is listed below under Resources.

So from there I looked to see what plant had the most amount of silica. "Bamboo Extract has the richest source of silica containing 70% of organic silica which is roughly ten times more potent for a more prominent effect on healthy hair, skin and strong nails. Bamboo Extract capsules also contain biotin, a member of the B vitamins. Biotin has been shown to enhance hair growth especially in those with a deficiency."

I have always thought of Bamboo as the most perfect plant that GOD (YHVH) has made. It can be eaten, made into cloth, used as building materials, and used medicinally as well.

This suprised me immensely with this information is silica is also found in clay. You can call silica sand it it makes it easier to understand. Silica has many stages one of them being sand, so when speaking to my kindergarten students (I taught K-5th for 10 years, K-8th for 7 years, and 6-8th for 2 years) I broke down the makeup of clay very simple: dirt, water, and sand. Bare with me, I promise there is a point to this information.

You can get clay two ways: you can dig it out of the ground yourself or you can buy from a complany who will dig it out of the earth for you. If the clay you get doesn't have enough water or sand in the mixture you have to add these things yourself. A experienced potter knows when it has the right amount of these ingredients.

Once the potter has giving the clay water and sand to help it become a proper vessel then it is time to mold the clay. At this point the potter already knows what shape for the vessel he will be making but the clay does not. He needs a variety of vessels because he has different "jobs" for these receptacles. He might need a cooking pot, teapot, cup, plate, vase, jug, bowl, oil lamp, plate, as well as other shapes. The clay will not know what it is going to be only the potter knows.

We were created by our Father the potter. We do not know how he is going to mold us. We also don't know that we will be put through the fire to make us stronger. You see, the clay will not be usable as a vessel without being put through the fire. We are the same, we can't be used until we have gone through fire because we would not understand others when they are hurting and need help. Going into the fire can be scary and cause pain. We think that we will die. This process is not suppose to make us die and the potter certaintly doesn't want us in pain but he knows that if we are going to be used then this process needs to be completed.

Only after the fire are we ready for the job that we were created to do. The only way we are able to become stronger on the other side of the fire is because the sand that is present in the clay before the fireing will be changed into glass. This chemical change makes all the difference in the world. It will forget the dirt with the glass to make a very sturdy bond.

Sand and glass are two different states of the same mineral, Silica. Silica, is a part of every single cell. It binds us together literally, without it we would fall apart. It is a main component of our body. Silica has to be present in our body for it to heal, fight off diseases, mineral balance, calcium absorption, and nutrient delivery. Because silica is the most present essential nutrient.

I have a verse I would like to give you.

Jeremiah 18:1-8 KJV

The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

In the Bible, YHVH, tells us we are the clay but he means the metaphorically, right? Well yes but he also means it literally. See the next verse for clarity.

Genesis 2:7 KJV And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

GOD formed us out of the dust/dirt/clay. Clay is made of mostly silica, we are made of mostly silica.

We Are The Clay, (literally)!
